Internship

According to the Texas Administrative Code an internship is a paid supervised classroom teaching assignment at a TEA accredited school that leads to a standard certificate.

-You begin your internship when you get hired. 

-Your paid internship consists of one year (two semesters) in which you are employed as a full-time teacher.

-The cost for the internship program at A Career in Teaching is $4,900.00 payable only when candidate has obtained a teacher contract, and will be collected on monthly installments of $490.00 a month from their teacher salary or ACIT offers student loans available from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

· During your internship, you will be assigned A Career in Teaching field supervisor who will make periodic classroom visits and work with campus administration to ensure you have a successful experience.
